Meetings
Official meetings usually on the 2nd Monday of each month. Programs and discussions include a variety of gardening topic, sharing information on gardening experiences, plant identifications, exploring local gardening resources and opportunities. Field trips of interest are also announced. The September meeting is an organizational meeting with election of officers and planning.
Annual Dues $10.00
Membership is open to anyone who has an interest or curiosity about green and growing things, gardening, the community we live in and a willingness to help others. - Village beautification in planters downtown and small gardens throughout the village
- Yard of the month awards in the summer with support from the Village of Turtle Lake
- Wildflowers on the Canyon Road/Rustic Road
- Initiated and sponsored the development of the Turtle Lake Community Garden
Projects
- The Annual Plant Sale held the 3rd Saturday of May - All members provide plants dug from their yards for the sale as well as any other items that they would like to donate for the sale with proceeds going to the Garden Club.
- During the winter, the club occasionally chooses a project to be crafted and sold at the Annual Plant Sale (barn quilts for example)
- Garden Tours are organized during the growing season along with other field trips of interest
